It summarises how AGS Support Services operates and the policies and processes in place to minimise the possibility of potential issues or risks identified, how we monitor them and how we train our staff.

Modern Slavery includes (but is not limited to) servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking. Anti-Graffiti Systems Limited will not tolerate any form of Modern Slavery within its workforce or other parties with whom the company interacts.

This Statement is published in accordance with section 54 of the Act, and relates to the financial year 30th October 2018 to 30th September 2019. It was approved by the Company Board on 25th January 2017.


1 Our Business

AGS Support Services is a limited company operating in the recruitment sector. We supply temporary workers mainly in the London Underground and other transport sectors.

AGS Support Services is an independent business.

1.1 Who we work with

As a “neutral vendor”, we work with other businesses to supply workers to hiring companies. All of the workers we supply are hired directly by other businesses, and we facilitate supplying them to the hiring companies. Some of these workers operate through their own limited companies.

1.2 Other relationships

As part of our business, we also work with the following organisations, where applicable:

  •  professional and regulatory bodies
  •  industry bodies

AGS Support Services has the following policies which incorporate ethical standards for our staff:

2.1 Statement development and review

AGS Support Services’ Statement is established by the Company Board and management team, based on advice from HR professionals, industry best practice and legal advice, and in consultation with suppliers and customers as their own modern slavery policies develop. We review our policy annually, or as and when needed to adapt to changes.

3 Our Processes for Managing Risk

In order to assess the risk of modern slavery, we use the following processes with our suppliers and customers:

  • When engaging with suppliers and customers, we ask for evidence of their processes and policies, including commitments around modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, human rights, and whistle-blowing.
  • We undertake reviews before entering into a commercial relationship with any business where there is the potential for risk. These reviews determine whether businesses will be added to our approved supplier or customer lists.

After due consideration, we have not identified any significant risks of modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking in our supply chain. However, we continue to be alert to the potential for problems.

Additionally, we have taken the following steps to minimise the possibility of any problems:

  • We require the businesses we work with to address modern slavery concerns in their policies and/or publish a modern slavery statement.
  • We collaborate with our suppliers in order to improve standards and transparency across our supply chain.
  • We ensure that all of our suppliers are members of appropriate industry bodies and working groups, where applicable.

Our staff are encouraged to bring any concerns they have to the attention of management.

4 Our Performance

As part of monitoring the performance of AGS Support Services, the Company Board and management team regularly assess that AGS Support Services is:

  • Only working with suppliers who have signed up to an appropriate code and can provide their own modern slavery statements/policy.
  • Only working with suppliers who are on our own approved supplier list.
  • Checking the effectiveness of enforcement against suppliers who breach modern slavery policies.
  • Obtaining feedback from staff supplied to ensure they are being treated in an appropriate manner.
  • Ensuring channels of communication exist for the reporting of any issues regarding modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and similar human rights abuses.

5 Our Training

All of our staff receive training and support that is appropriate to their role. In particular, staff are aware that they can bring any concerns they have to the attention of management and the Company Board.
